• The 5th year of the international robotic competition Robotic Tournament took place on Saturday April 6th 2013 in the polish city Rybnik. One hundred robots from Poland, Slovakia and Czech Republic attended. The competition categories were Mini Sumo, LEGO Sumo, Linefollower, LEGO Linefollower, Micromouse and Freestyle. The most popular were the Sumo fights and Linefollower. Slovak participants competed in all disciplines and this fact influenced the general results.

  • Visit from TV Markíza, March 12, 2013

  • Robots from the Department of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence ICII found themselves in early morning in the labs of Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology STU Bratislava. On this day the Slovak Technical University presented some of its achievements for the morning TV show of TV Markíza. Our robots were an enrichment of the live broadcast.

  • Prof. Peter Hubinský, PhD. and MSc. Jozef Rodina participated in the discussion of the expert group of international association InterOceanMetal in Szczecin, Poland on February 11 - 15, 2013.

  • On 7th November 2012 100 years have passed since the birthday of the important czechoslovakian scientist and teacher in the field of automation - prof. Ing. Dr. techn. Miroslav Šalamon. Institute of Control and Industrial Informatics with Slovak Society for Cybernetics and Informatics organised scientific seminar with the unveiling of a plaque in the building of Faculty of Electrotechnics and Informatics STU in Bratislava.

  • Lecture of professor Claude H. Moog, from IRCCyN, Ecole Centrale de Nantes, France took place in October. Lecture title: Research challenges at IRCCyN, Nantes Institute of Cybernetics.
